Compare the payment calendar, not just the commission rate. In this audit, “monthly” describes several different schedules: zZounds sends a check approximately 60 days after the earnings month ends; TrueFire describes payment for the month before the previous month.1,2
We examined public documents for six selected programs on October 8, 2026. This is a source audit, with no real sales or payment testing. It cannot tell you which provider pays most reliably or which program is best for your audience.
Five clocks to keep separate
This is our reading framework. A program may combine stages or leave some undocumented.
- Credit window
Can the referral still receive attribution? This is not a cash deadline.
- Qualifying event
Does a purchase, delivered order or another specified event earn commission?
- Validation or locking
Can the transaction still be adjusted or rejected? Is a deadline stated?
- Payment schedule
Which earnings month is being paid, and when is dispatch or network credit scheduled?
- Withdrawal or receipt
What must happen before money reaches your account?
Impact illustrates the last distinction: brand funding can determine whether a due commission reaches Available Balance; account requirements and withdrawal settings apply afterward.3
What the six programs document
| Program & route | Before payment | Published payment schedule & balance condition |
|---|---|---|
| zZounds In-house agreement | Delivery and full payment required. Returns are deducted during the payment wait; a separate validation deadline is Unknown.1 | Monthly check dispatch, approximately 60 days after the end of the earnings month.1 $50 floor; smaller balances carry forward. Continued affiliate status required.1 |
| Thomann Clickfire participation terms | Canceled sales adjusted before settlement. Exact validation duration: Unknown.4 | Paid at the end of the next month after accumulated entitlement reaches EUR 50 net.4 EUR 50 net. After three consecutive months below it, accumulated commission can be requested in writing or by email; confirmed balances also paid on termination.4 |
| Virtual Sheet Music In-house agreement | A separate transaction-validation duration is not established in the retrieved agreement.5 | Monthly PayPal payment after the selected floor is met; agreement says beginning of month and sent within 15 days following the period.5 Default $25; affiliate can select $25–$1,000. Currency is printed as $, without a complete currency/FX schedule.5 |
| TrueFire Public Partnerize payment FAQ | Delay is described as protection against fraudulent returns; exact validation/locking duration: Unknown.2 | First week of each month via Partnerize, for earnings from the month before the previous month: January earnings → first week of March.2 Payout floor: Unknown on this page. The advertised $50 new-customer bounty is not a payout minimum.2 |
| Vego Garden Public Impact template; not accepted owner contract | Locks 27 days after the end of the month the action was tracked.6 | Approved transactions scheduled 20 days after the end of the month they lock. Network credit depends on brand funding.6,3 No merchant withdrawal floor established here; Impact account settings and withdrawal rules apply separately.6,3 |
| Ooni US Awin 77074 public terms; incomplete fresh overview | Decline conditions are listed, including unfulfilled orders. Validation duration: Unknown in the retrieved terms.7 | Merchant-specific payment schedule: Unknown in the retrieved US terms and invitation.7,8 US program-specific payout floor: Unknown in this document set; generic network terms were not substituted.7,8 |
Read each row as one specified enrollment route. Unknown means not established in the documents we examined, not “no minimum” or “instant payment.” The downloadable observations also include attribution and qualification.
Three differences that change the calendar
A threshold is not a dispatch date
Thomann's FAQ compresses billing and payout into a €50 threshold. Its participation terms specify the end of the next month after accumulated entitlement reaches EUR 50 net. We retained that fuller schedule, including the request option after three consecutive months below the floor.9,4
Virtual Sheet Music® lets affiliates choose a payment floor from $25 to $1,000, defaulting to $25. Its agreement describes beginning-of-month payments and dispatch within 15 days following the period. We retained both statements rather than inventing an exact arrival day; the currency is printed as $, without a complete currency/FX schedule.5
“Monthly” still needs a reference month
TrueFire's example is January earnings paid in the first week of March via Partnerize. Its advertised $50 bounty concerns selected new-customer enrollments; it does not establish a $50 payout minimum.2
zZounds also anchors its approximate 60-day check schedule to the end of the earnings month. A sale first requires delivery and full payment; returns can reduce the commission. These observations apply only to the in-house agreement examined here.1
A scheduled network payment is not bank receipt
Vego Garden's public Impact template has separate month-end anchors for locking and payment. Impact's help documentation also explains brand-funding, account and withdrawal steps. The template is a public offer, not an accepted Affiliate Orchard contract.6,3
Worked calendar: an October Vego action
Hypothetical illustration, not a payment forecast. Assume an eligible action is tracked in October 2026 and remains approved under the public template. Its stated rules are locking 27 days after the tracked month ends, then payment 20 days after the locking month ends.6
| Date | Stage | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| October 31 | Tracked month ends | The locking countdown starts from month-end, not the individual click. |
| November 27 | Illustrative locking date | October 31 plus 27 calendar days. |
| November 30 | Locking month ends | A separate month-end anchor starts the payment countdown. |
| December 20 | Illustrative scheduled payment date | November 30 plus 20 calendar days; still not a bank-arrival promise. |
| Unknown | Actual receipt | Funding, account requirements and withdrawal settings remain separate. |
The dates above are our arithmetic application of the template. We have not added Impact's general invoicing-duration estimate on top of this specified schedule, or adjusted it into a guaranteed business-day receipt date. Insufficient brand funds can leave a payment overdue.3
Method and downloadable observations
We purposively selected four music-related programs, Vego Garden and Ooni from our reviewed directory. They offered contrasting in-house, network and threshold arrangements, plus a useful documentation gap. This is not a random or representative sample of affiliate programs.
For each named route, we coded the five clocks above and a separate minimum-balance field: documented, partial or unknown. Partial means a condition is known while timing or completion remains unclear. The six routes produce 30 clock observations and six balance observations.
Download the 36 original coded observations as CSV. Each row names the route, evidence state, paraphrased observation, official source URLs and check date. The framework above is the codebook; source-page copies stay private.
Ooni limitation: the freshly retrieved US Awin overview returned navigation only. The accessible US terms list commission-decline conditions, but we did not establish a merchant-specific payout calendar, floor or receipt date from those terms and the merchant invitation. We did not substitute a generic Awin schedule. Ooni's earlier profile check remains separately dated.10,7,8
The retrieved Virtual Sheet Music® agreement shows May 10, 2023; Thomann's terms show March 4, 2025; Ooni's public terms show June 3, 2024. Those body dates are distinct from our October 8, 2026 check date. Current retrieval alone does not establish a newly effective or accepted agreement.5,4,7
We reviewed public documents, not owner dashboards, account approvals, real transactions, payment receipts or every enrollment route. The observations concern direct customer commissions; they do not establish second-tier rewards. Missing details may be available in an accepted agreement or account.
Ask one better cash-flow question
For a program on your shortlist, write: “If an eligible sale is tracked this month, what has to happen before it becomes withdrawable, what balance is required, and which date is a schedule rather than actual receipt?”
Use the profile links in the table to check audience fit and restrictions alongside payment timing. Keep unconfirmed steps visible in your plan; do not budget an unknown arrival date as cash already received.
