On this page

Consider GetResponse when your audience needs email marketing and follow-up workflows. Its current PartnerStack programme pays a standard 40% for an eligible customer’s first 12 months of payments. Higher rates require qualifying sales volume and apply to later new sales; a tracked signup alone does not qualify.3,4

Who it may fit

Look for a real workflow: collect newsletter subscribers, send a welcome sequence and tailor follow-up messages. The current Starter plan includes forms, landing pages and one custom automation workflow. Marketer adds unlimited workflows and advanced audience segmentation. Creator adds courses, webinars and premium newsletters.1

Our assessment: choose the workflow your reader needs before recommending a larger bundle. Someone running a simple newsletter may have little use for course or webinar features. Compare MailerLite and Kit by product fit and permission rules, rather than commission alone.

GetResponse explicitly markets a solution for affiliate publishers. That is not blanket permission for every campaign: its US/Canada service terms impose content restrictions, and its US Anti-Spam Policy requires express, verifiable consent. Bought, rented and harvested lists are prohibited; policy violations can lead to account closure without a refund.2,5,6

Compare the commission levels

The agreement valid from October 1, 2026 bases commission on the amount actually paid for the regular SMB service, for at most 12 months per eligible paying customer. Exact gross/net deductions and coverage of other products remain unconfirmed; do not calculate earnings from the advertised plan price alone.3

Compare the commission levels
LevelRate and qualificationImportant limit
BronzeStandard 40%Eligible customer must pay; maximum 12 months while paying.3
Silver50% after at least 50 sales in a calendar yearApplies to further new sales after entitlement, in that year and the next.3
Gold60% after at least 100 sales in a calendar yearSame prospective rule; January reassessment may increase or decrease the rate.3

There is a wording conflict: the marketing page describes thresholds “in 12 months”; the agreement specifies a calendar year and preserves the previous rate on earlier sales. Confirm the accepted offer before relying on an upgrade.4,3

These are performance levels for your own customer referrals. A second-tier reward from sales made by affiliates you recruit is Unknown, not established by the current programme or agreement reviewed here. The agreement also permits future commission-rate changes.4,3

What an upgrade changes

The governing rule keeps earlier sales at their previous rate. The following hypothetical example assumes qualifying sales and granted Silver entitlement; it does not predict earnings.3

  1. Before the upgrade

A customer referred at Bronze remains on the previous 40% rate.

  2. After 50 qualifying sales that calendar year

A later new customer may qualify at 50% once Silver entitlement is granted.

  3. Each customer’s own limit

Neither cohort gets an unlimited extension: the maximum remains 12 months while paying.

For the broader tradeoff, read recurring versus one-time commissions.

Check the customer before counting the sale

The agreement excludes customers who fail its eligibility rules, including:3

  • Customer history: a current GetResponse-group customer or someone who was a direct customer in the previous 12 months.3
  • Recent contact: someone who contacted, or was contacted by, the group about its services in the previous three months.3
  • Another referral: someone already referred through another group affiliate or partner programme.3
  • Related purchases: family members are excluded. Self, employer, controlled-company and other related purchases generally do not qualify; only the specified exceptions with express email approval can apply. Using your own payment method is also restricted.3

This matters for consultants and agencies: an existing client who has spoken with GetResponse may be a poor basis for an expected commission. Check the relationship and history first.

AttributionThe programme advertises a 90-day return-and-convert window; the agreement excludes cookie-blocked, untracked sales.4,3First/last-click priority, cross-device recovery and complete account-history handling.
Review and availabilityThe agreement allows up to 60 days to verify a paid fee and gives a February 10 → April 10 verification → May 7 approval → May 15 availability example. Extra delays are possible.3Actual account timing. The page’s “around the 13th” is not a guarantee for every sale.4
WithdrawalPartnerStack help states a $5 USD minimum after fees and requires tax/payment setup. The merchant transfers in the customer-paid currency; PartnerStack may convert to the selected settlement currency.7,3Accepted programme/account minimum, regional methods, fees, exchange rate and arrival in your bank.

Cancelled, refunded and charged-back transactions do not earn commission. Already-paid amounts may be recovered from future fees; if those are insufficient, the agreement permits an invoice for the remaining debt. Treat projected balances separately from cash received.3

Promotion limits worth checking first

  • Paid media needs permission: prior written/email consent is required for each instance of social or search advertising. Brand and destination restrictions also apply; do not assume nonbrand ads are automatically allowed.3
  • No signup incentives or unsolicited messages: gifts for signup/free trials and unapproved delegated promotion are restricted. Check the full restricted-practices list against your topic.3,8
  • Editorial publishers should read clause 15: it contains broad non-disparagement language during participation and for 12 months afterwards, with deduction/repayment remedies. Assess that commitment before joining a programme you intend to review independently.3
  • Participation is conditional: clear nearby relationship notices are required for participants’ promotional links. Either party can terminate immediately; termination for cause may forfeit outstanding commissions.3

Your next action

Write down your intended email workflow, consent source and promotion channels. Then check customer eligibility, the accepted rate and payment schedule through the official programme page, which links its PartnerStack application.4,3
