MailerLite affiliate program

Consider for publishers teaching newsletter/forms/onboarding workflows. MailerLite service terms prohibit defined affiliate-marketing practices but permit some audience-aligned clearly identified third-party links; referring MailerLite does not establish permission for your newsletter. Product/delivery/conversion and payout outcomes untested.1,2,3

On this page

MailerLite offers 30% on qualifying paid subscriptions and recurring payments while the referred customer remains active and compliant. Its governing terms use a 45-day last-click window. The precise gross/net commission base and post-exit renewal rights remain unconfirmed. 4,5

Check the email-use rules before recommending it. Referring customers to MailerLite and sending affiliate campaigns with MailerLite are separate questions. Its service terms prohibit defined affiliate-marketing practices but permit some clearly identified, audience-aligned affiliate links. 3

Who it may fit

Our assessment: consider this program when you help readers plan newsletters, signup forms or welcome sequences. MailerLite describes campaigns, forms, landing pages and automation triggered by events such as joining a group, completing a form or clicking a link. Those are feature descriptions, not evidence of better delivery or conversions. 1,2

The service-use distinction matters for affiliate publishers. Section 13 permits third-party offers that naturally match your brand and subscribers’ expectations, clearly presented as another company’s offers. It prohibits the commission-focused, unrelated referral promotions defined there; blacklisted links and other prohibited content can still lead to suspension or termination. Do not treat joining its affiliate program as blanket permission for your newsletter. 3

From click to cash

This is a planning sequence, not a guaranteed payout timeline.

  1. 1. Qualifying conversion

A new customer selects a paid plan within the legal referral window; a free signup alone is insufficient. 4

  2. 2. Validation and hold

Commissions have a 30-day hold, but conversion evaluation is described as typically 45 days. The customer must remain eligible; refunds, cancellations and reviews can affect credit. 4

  3. 3. Eligible payout

Meet the balance and active-customer requirements, complete commercial-capable Tipalti payment details, then allow for processing and fees. 4,5

Four boundaries need confirmation before you budget around the offer:

IssueOfficial FAQGoverning terms
Later paid upgradeSignup within 45 days can preserve commission on an upgrade weeks laterPaid-plan selection must occur within the 45-day referral window. Do not assume a later upgrade qualifies. 5,4
Payout thresholdMinimum US$100 from two different referralsBalance must exceed US$100, with at least two qualifying paying customers active at the payout request. The exact boundary differs. 5,4
ProcessingAutomatic Friday settlements when payment details are completeProcessing within 45 days after eligibility, subject to hold and review. Neither statement guarantees Friday arrival. 5,4
Payment feesMailerLite covers PayPal fees; affiliates bear deposit/wire and conversion costsSection 4.4.5 assigns processor fees to the affiliate. Confirm your method’s actual fee treatment. 5,4

The FAQ advertises USD payments through Tipalti with PayPal, direct deposit and wire options; country/account availability is unconfirmed. Refunds, cancellation, chargebacks, fraud and tracking errors can reverse previously paid commission. Fraud investigations may hold a balance for up to 180 days; requested payouts above US$10,000 may be split beyond the ordinary processing allowance. 5,4

Use recurring versus one-time commissions to separate continued credit from cash received. A customer’s plan price is not a confirmed commission base.

Check the newsletter task first

Hypothetical example: a gardening publisher wants a welcome sequence about planning a raised bed, followed by relevant equipment recommendations. Write the promised topic, expected messages and third-party offers before choosing software. This planning example does not establish MailerLite’s acceptance of that campaign.

Inspect whether a form/group trigger and follow-up messages meet the actual task. MailerLite describes these automation triggers, but your intended integration and plan limits need checking. Compare a regular newsletter or a simpler workflow if automation adds little value. 2

The current pricing page displays a Free plan with up to 250 subscribers and 2,500 monthly emails, alongside Comfort and Power paid plans. Check sending volume, workflow limits and the current checkout for your list size; do not recycle older plan names or limits. 6

Promotion and joining limits

  • Advertising: the terms restrict online ads promoting MailerLite and direct paid links to its destinations, including brand-search restrictions. Ads to your own content or offerings have an exception with direct-promotion/link limits; do not assume every paid comparison funnel is approved. 4
  • Methods: no self-referrals, link cloaking, hidden traffic sources, unlisted promotional sites or artificial traffic. Coupon/deal/incentive channels are restricted; discount authorization and sub-affiliate networks require express permission. 4
  • Participating creators: section 7 requires original media referencing MailerLite to be submitted for review at least 48 hours before publication, with up to two factual-correction rounds. Check that obligation before planning a participating promotional campaign. 4
  • Enrollment: noncustomers can apply, but acceptance is discretionary. Publisher/customer country lists and final payment availability remain unconfirmed; the affiliate terms include sanctions and restricted-party conditions. 5,4

First, write your newsletter use case and proposed promotional channels. Read the current service and affiliate terms, then resolve the upgrade deadline, threshold and fees before applying. The choose-programs lesson provides a practical evaluation checklist.

The affiliate agreement displays December 12, 2025; service Terms of Use display September 22, 2026. Older prohibited-content help displays December 6, 2023 and summarizes affiliate marketing more broadly; use the current service agreement’s section 13 distinction. These dates are separate from our October 7 check and any accepted account terms. 4,3,7

Secondary account limits: section 3.3 gives 30 days from payout to dispute commission, while section 4.6 uses the transaction date. Preserve the conflict and report discrepancies promptly. Inactivity combines no dashboard login for 36 months and no new sales for 12 months; commissions unclaimed for more than 24 months may be permanently forfeited under the terms. 4

The agreement’s “Tier 1–6” migration sections concern December 2025–January 2026 legacy accounts, not current recruitment rewards. We have not applied their old Partnero deadlines to new Trackdesk payouts. 4

Still unresolved: exact eligible revenue and deductions, post-exit renewals, attribution recovery, full country/channel eligibility, contradictory conversion/payment boundaries, account-specific fees and current second tier. No owner tracking link, private accepted offer or campaign/payment outcome was inspected.
