Return costs change the decision
- Ordinary UO online items: eligible unused or defective merchandise returned within 30 days of delivery receives an original-payment refund; later returns receive merchandise credit, with no returns after one year. Most mailed returns deduct a $5 fee; eligible in-store returns are free. Final-sale exclusions apply.9
- Dated holiday exception: eligible purchases made October 1–December 24, 2026 may receive an original-payment refund through January 31, 2027. Other policy conditions still apply; do not extend that promise to every seller or final-sale item.9
- Furniture: ordinary continental-U.S. furniture returns have a 30-day delivery clock, customer-paid return shipping and possible item-specific restocking fees. Furniture cannot be returned to stores; made-to-order customizable furniture is excluded.9
The shipping page quotes standard U.S. service at 5–8 business days, with order verification/processing caveats and oversized-item exceptions. Confirm the actual shipping quote rather than applying an app discount or free-shipping threshold to every order. Shipping destinations do not establish publisher eligibility or credited-sale countries.8,1
