American Giant has an established publisher affiliate program through ASCEND / Partnerize, separate from its social-influencer ambassador offer. It is worth considering for original clothing-selection and wardrobe content. The checked public sources do not give a commission rate, tracking window or payout schedule, so qualified-sale economics remain Unknown.3,4
Three relationships, different rewards
| Offer | What is documented |
|---|---|
| Publisher affiliate | The merchant invites publishers, editors and other partners, naming email, blog posts and online publications as promotional methods. It advertises commissions on sales; rate, eligible value, exclusions and accepted channel rules are Unknown.3 |
| Social ambassador | A separate GRIN destination serves influencers and brand advocates, with product and commission earning potential. Those benefits do not establish ordinary publisher rates or approval.3 |
| Customer referrals and loyalty | The Giants Club uses Threads points redeemable toward purchases and has a friend-referral offer. Customer spending tiers and points are separate from affiliate cash commissions.5 |
Second-tier rewards are Unknown. Neither the ambassador offer, customer points nor Partnerize’s platform description documents payment from sales generated by affiliates you recruit. Recurring credit, publisher-country eligibility, attribution rules, reversals and cash thresholds also remain unconfirmed.3,4,5
A useful angle: explain the garment decision
Editorial fit: help a reader decide whether a particular layer fills a wardrobe gap, then explain fit, fabric, care and return commitments. Keeping an existing suitable garment can be the right outcome.
For example, the merchant describes the Men’s Classic Full Zip in Black as a slim, body-skimming heavyweight fleece, with a relaxed-fit alternative. Its listed specifications include 100% cotton, elbow patches and a double-lined hood, and it states that the garment is made in Los Angeles. These are manufacturer descriptions, not our durability or origin verification.1
Hypothetical publishing worksheet: a reader with a 40-inch chest is considering that hoodie for layering. Do not select a size from a generic chart without resolving the following:
| Decision | Evidence and next check |
|---|---|
| Which measurements apply? | The generic men’s hoodie chart explicitly uses body measurements and lists M chest 39–41 inches. The product page lists M chest 43–45 inches without establishing the same measurement basis. Ask which chart applies and whether the product values describe a body or garment; do not silently combine them.2,1 |
| What fit does the reader want? | The product describes a slim fit and links to a relaxed version. Compare the intended layer with an existing garment and seek product-specific dimensions; neither a label nor our worksheet proves personal fit.1 |
| Can the reader follow the care instructions? | The product says to close the zipper before washing, machine-wash cool with like colors, avoid bleach and use a warm dryer. Keep these instructions beside the recommendation.1 |
| What is the return commitment? | Check the exact selected variant’s final-sale label and the available return method. The policy allows eligible unworn, unwashed, undamaged items within 30 days of purchase; final-sale items are excluded.6 |
This is a planning example. We have not purchased, worn, washed or measured the garment, or demonstrated that it will fit this hypothetical reader.
Customer costs belong beside the recommendation
- Returns: the ordinary policy distinguishes free store/Happy Returns Bar returns from a $7 mailed-return fee. The sizing page’s broad “Free Returns” wording does not establish free postage for every customer. Loyalty-tier benefits may differ.6,2,5
- Exchanges: eligible domestic exchanges are for another size or color of the same product. International customers pay return shipping and cannot exchange orders under the published policy.6
- Delivery: standard domestic transit is listed as 5–10 business days, with processing separate. Another passage describes quicker typical transit; treat this as an estimate, not a promised arrival. Check the actual checkout quote, destination and delivery method.7
- International orders: the shipping page lists selected destinations and distinguishes duties-paid service to Canada, Australia and Hong Kong. Customer delivery coverage does not prove affiliate-country eligibility or commission coverage.7
From application to a qualified commission
- Prepare permitted recommendations
Confirm the actual merchant/network terms and issued links. The website terms restrict commercial reuse of site materials and logos; use original work and obtain approved creatives or permissions.8

Use Choose affiliate programs to assess audience fit. For a different clothing task, the Darn Tough profile covers activity-sock selection and separates refunds from replacement credit.
