On this page
Worth considering for game-server tutorials and community publishers. Nitrado has an established hosting affiliate program and advertises commissions on repeat purchases. Your payment model and rate require a separate agreement. Resolve its conflicting payout minimums before forecasting cash flow.3,4
Is it a useful fit for your audience?
Nitrado sells game-server hosting with a web interface for configuration and shared administration. Its catalogue distinguishes games and platform variants; a familiar game name alone does not establish that the reader's edition is supported.1
The useful content angle is a specific hosting decision: which game, map, devices and administration tasks must a group support? Explain those requirements before recommending a plan. Compare managed hosting with using an existing public server, peer hosting or self-hosting where the game permits them.
Our assessment: the offering combines a running service and administration tools, beyond generating a configuration file. That does not establish superior performance, resistance to AI competition or better value. We have not rented a server or tested latency, support, backups or protection.
For readers deciding whether to borrow or buy physical games, GameFly addresses a different task.
The economics: what is known?
| Decision | Public evidence | What remains unconfirmed |
|---|---|---|
| Model and rate | The signup Terms list click, sale, lead or combined models, with remuneration agreed separately.4 | Your assigned model, rate, eligible event and calculation base. |
| Repeat purchases | The affiliate page explicitly advertises repeat-purchase and recurring commissions. Signup Terms end further commission claims when the contract ends.3,4 | Which renewals qualify, validation rules and maximum duration. No lifetime promise. |
| Attribution | The Terms describe visitors reaching Nitrado through your link.4 | Cookie duration, overwrite, device and final-credit rules. |
| Minimum payout | €200 in the marketing FAQ; €50 in the signup Terms.3,4 | The applicable threshold is Unknown until the governing offer is confirmed. |
| Storefront exclusions | The Terms exclude purchases through third-party platforms, specifically Microsoft Store/Xbox app, even after an affiliate-link visit.4 | The exact qualifying website checkout and products in your offer. |
| Tier two | These reviewed sources do not establish payments on sales made by affiliates you recruit.3,4 | Downstream rewards remain Unknown. |
The advertised €0.17–€228 per transaction is a marketing range, not your assigned rate. Its lowest-price footnote excludes promotions; the page does not supply a complete formula. Do not turn its sales illustrations into an earnings forecast.3
Affiliate and creator routes are different
The ordinary affiliate FAQ says you need not be a Nitrado customer. The public signup Terms restrict participation to entrepreneurs, with approval and separately agreed remuneration required. The creator page has additional audience requirements; do not assume those thresholds apply to every affiliate applicant.3,4,5
| Creator route | Published minimum requirements |
|---|---|
| YouTube | 1,000 subscribers; five videos in the last 60 days; averages of 200 views and two minutes' watch time per video.5 |
| Twitch | Twitch Affiliate or Partner; 20 streaming hours in the last 60 days; 25 concurrent viewers.5 |
| Community owner | 5,000+ members and 250+ players on wipe day.5 |
The signup Terms also require cooperation partners to be at least 18. Neither a public application nor meeting a listed threshold proves acceptance. Complete publisher-country eligibility is unpublished in the reviewed material.4,5
Worked example: 12 players does not settle the plan
Hypothetical scenario: a new group of 12 wants ARK: Survival Ascended on Astraeos, with friends playing on different supported platforms. This is a planning exercise, not a tested server or price quote.
| Check | What the publisher should establish |
|---|---|
| Map before capacity | Nitrado requires at least 26 slots for Astraeos and Lost Colony on services bought after June 22, 2026, 2 p.m. CEST. A 20-slot plan can accommodate the assumed player count yet fail the map requirement. Earlier services retain a stated exception; future maps are evaluated separately.2 |
| Exact edition and devices | The ASA offer lists Steam PC, Xbox Series S/X, PS5 and Windows Microsoft Store support. It says ARK: Survival Evolved saves are incompatible with ASA. Crossplay support is not proof that an old world transfers.2 |
| Mods and recovery | The offer supports crossplay mods but warns that updates can temporarily break compatibility. The general backup guide describes game-dependent availability and FTP exceptions; confirm the selected game's export and restore options.2,6 |
| Buying route | Microsoft Store/Xbox app purchases are excluded from affiliate remuneration under the signup Terms. Supported player hardware and commission-eligible checkout are separate questions.2,4 |
| Renewal | U.S. customer terms describe automatic renewal unless opted out. The dated help guide shows a Manage Subscription toggle; inspect the actual service setting and next charge before recommending a purchase.7,8 |
A useful article would document the group's exact requirements and flag an incompatible or unnecessary plan. Choosing another map, another supported route or no purchase can be the right result.
Backups deserve a separate check: the March 2024 guide describes an estimated daily interval and three to ten accessible backups depending on game and size. It does not establish indefinite retention or a successful restore. Plan a supported export before major changes; do not promise every game has FTP access.6
A recorded sale is not cash received
- Agree the offer
Confirm the model, qualifying event, website checkout and deductions in writing. The signup Terms say bank and exchange fees are not covered by Nitrado.4
- Validate and wait
The FAQ describes a 45-day withholding period; its footer says “after approval” without a complete trigger definition. Dashboard reporting does not settle eligibility or reversals.3
- Process the payment
The FAQ says on or before the 15th of the month following the hold, then describes processing within seven days after invoicing. Confirm how those stages interact and distinguish processing from money arriving in your bank.3
Restrictions that affect a publisher
- Search ads and self-referrals: the FAQ allows PPC subject to its Terms but prohibits Nitrado brand keywords, related phrases, variants and misspellings. Personal-use self-referrals are forbidden.3
- Traffic and presentation: the signup Terms require voluntary, conscious clicks and reject automated or deceptive clicks. They prohibit unlawful or reputation-harming content and contain confidentiality obligations. Assess whether your intended editorial presentation and approved assets comply with the applicable agreement.4
- Exit: the Terms allow ordinary termination on one week's notice, end further commission claims after termination and require link removal within two working days. Available commission at exit is described as transferred to the specified bank account; actual settlement details need confirmation.4
- Support conflict: the creator page promotes VIP support, while the signup Terms say cooperation partners receive standard support. Confirm your route's actual entitlement rather than advertising priority service.5,4
Customer account credits are a separate issue: U.S. terms say prepaid deposits are for services, cannot be cashed out and can expire after three years. These are not affiliate balances or payout rules.7

Sources and open questions
Official public sources checked October 9, 2026. The signup's visible readonly Terms were read directly because the text extraction omitted their value. No account, contract acceptance, application or firsthand hosting test.
The backup guide displays March 17, 2024 and the renewal guide December 1, 2022. A current fetch does not make those instructions newly issued. Other reviewed pages show no reliable overall effective date; the ASA map condition has its own explicit June 2026 cutoff.
Unresolved: accepted model/rate/base, qualifying renewals, payout minimum and calendar, tracking, complete countries, approved traffic/creative permissions, support entitlement and downstream rewards. This is public-source research, not an accepted Affiliate Orchard offer.
