Worth evaluating for tire and wheel research publishers—but read the presentation rules first. Tire Rack offers affiliate links to its product catalog. Its FAQ requires your own website and says a Recommended Installer cannot also participate as an affiliate.1,3
The opportunity is to help readers understand a specific purchase and its conditions. Tire Rack's catalog, testing and installer marketing do not establish our firsthand experience or a guarantee of fit, performance or delivery.1
Commission and cash are different questions
The public agreement specifies 6% of eligible collected sales, after deductions—not 6% of every checkout total. It excludes taxes, duties, packaging, shipping/handling, coupons/discounts, credit-card fees and similar charges, fraud/bad debt and returned-goods credits. Confirm the offer presented for your account; this public agreement is not an accepted Affiliate Orchard contract.2
| Question | What the official sources establish |
|---|---|
| Attribution | The agreement uses the last qualifying link within a 60-day period beginning with the customer's initial affiliate visit. Another site's later link can lose your credit; an unaccepted cookie can make a sale unattributable.2,3 |
| Payment | Agreement: CJ pays within 25 days after month-end and may hold balances below $25 until at least $25 or termination. FAQ: a monthly check at month-end when the balance has exceeded $25. The exact boundary, timing and current method need confirmation.2,3 |
| Reversals | The FAQ debits commissions for refunded products, disputed credit-card charges and fraud. Approval holds, payout currency, fees and bank-arrival timing remain unconfirmed.3 |
| Leaving | Either party can terminate with written notice. Remove links within one hour. Accrued fees remain payable only for orders not canceled or returned; final payment may be held for a reasonable time.2 |
| Recurrence and tier two | Repeated payment cycles and CJ tracking do not establish recurring customer commissions or cash from recruited affiliates' sales. Both remain Unknown.1,2 |
The undated agreement still contains a BeFree reference alongside CJ. A separate Missouri notice cites a July 2013 law change and excludes Missouri residents. Its current applicability and a complete publisher-region list remain unconfirmed; do not infer worldwide eligibility from the agreement's trademark license.2,4
Promotion rules shape the content you can make
Price-comparison publishers should pause here. Agreement sections 1–2 prohibit product-price information in descriptions, unauthorized representations or warranties, and links close to recognized tire or wheel merchants. Confirm written permission for your planned presentation before joining.2
| Area | Important restrictions |
|---|---|
| Creatives and identity | Use supplied creatives without edits; do not alter offer copy or promote expired offers. No trademark-containing domains, framing, masked URLs or pop-ups/pop-unders. Do not describe yourself as Tire Rack's partner or its products as “cheap.”5 |
| Paid search | Trademark bidding requires specific authorization. No Tire Rack brand in ad copy or display URLs. Paid-search traffic must first reach your landing page, followed by a deliberate affiliate-link click.5 |
| Organic search | Metadata cannot advertise limited-time offers, percentage/dollar discounts, “up to” claims or misleading copy.5 |
| Social and site content | Twitter traffic must reach a landing page first. Do not place affiliate links on Tire Rack's own Facebook, Instagram, YouTube or blog comments. The policy also excludes specified objectionable content, including gambling and adult material.5 |
The policy says edits can be enforced retroactively and violations can reverse commissions; search-policy violations can also end participation. Review the current full agreement and policies rather than treating this table as blanket channel permission.5
Buying details readers need
| Decision | Conditions to explain |
|---|---|
| Home or installer delivery? | Tires can ship to a home, workplace or independent installer. Direct delivery does not schedule the installation: the buyer still arranges an appointment. Confirm actual delivery and service details; we have not tested an installer.6,7 |
| Free shipping? | The headline says over $50; the body says eligible products totaling $50 or more before tax. Exactly $50 needs confirmation. Standard-ground offer: retail customers in the 48 contiguous states and D.C.; Canadian and APO/FPO addresses are excluded.6 |
| Ordinary return? | Within 30 days of delivery, inspected, unused, undriven and undamaged. Freight is deducted; wheels must not have tires mounted. Tire/wheel packages also lose a $60 dismount charge; special orders are nonreturnable. Distribution-center pickups have immediate same-day return/exchange eligibility, with later requests reviewed.8 |
| A fit problem? | The separate Perfect Fit Promise requires vehicle information at purchase. The page calls for contact within 60 days of purchase and review of undriven, undamaged products; it offers a full refund, no restocking fee and covered return shipping. This is conditional merchant policy, not a universal 60-day return or our compatibility assurance.9 |
Shipping eligibility is separate from affiliate eligibility. Keep ordinary returns, fit-problem review and manufacturer warranties distinct.6,8,9
A page brief to evaluate
Hypothetical example: plan a tire-shopping research page for a stated vehicle and use case. This is not a tire test, driving result or installation tutorial.
- Define the reader's question
Record exact make, model, year, trim and the purchase question. Leave suitability unresolved when evidence is missing.
- Trace the evidence
Identify the provider's relevant product documentation, fit-policy conditions and fulfillment/return limits. Separate merchant claims from observations you actually made.
- Check presentation permission
Use authorized links/creatives. Omit product-price copy, promises and nearby competitor links unless written permission resolves the restriction; direct readers to current merchant information.

Before applying
Read the official Tire Rack program page, its agreement and policies. Confirm regional eligibility, the applicable rate/base and cash terms, and whether your independent presentation is permitted. Read the full legal obligations before accepting; approval and owner-specific tracking remain unconfirmed.1,2,5
You can also browse other programs. Second-tier rewards remain Unknown.
