Public rate: 30%

Consider TemplateMonster when your audience needs a particular website template, theme or digital asset. The marketplace lists WordPress, HTML and Shopify categories. Its affiliate terms document 30% on new-visitor referred sales and 60-day first-cookie attribution, but repeat-purchase rates and payout instructions conflict. Treat these as public terms, not an accepted account offer or evidence of product quality.1,4,5
The useful angle is helping someone choose the right platform, licence and support scope. Compare the purchase with their existing theme, a suitable free option or a tested AI-assisted build before recommending it. We have not installed or tested these products.
Compare the actual rewards
| Offer | Public evidence | What still needs confirmation |
|---|---|---|
| TemplateMonster first purchase | Main invitation: 30% on a user's first purchase. Programme terms: 30% on new-visitor referred sales.5,4 | Eligible items, customer definition and deductions such as tax or discounts. Do not assume every checkout dollar qualifies. |
| Repeat purchases | Main FAQ says 10%; the guide says 30%; programme terms exclude loyal and returning customers.5,6,4 | Accepted repeat rate and recurring credit are Unknown. These statements cannot form a reliable lifetime-income forecast. |
| MonsterONE subscription sale | Terms list promo-code attribution and commissions of $13 monthly-plan / $50 annual-plan / $60 lifetime-plan.4 | Eligible plan/code and currency details; no documented entitlement to commissions on every renewal. These are separate from template commissions. |
| MonsterONE coupon/deal publishers | Terms list 10% on valid tracked subscription sales, with a separate 5% shopper discount.4 | Accepted publisher class, approved code and calculation base. The shopper discount is not affiliate earnings. |
| Referred affiliates | Official pages advertise 5% for sub-affiliates, including a sales-based reward.5,4,6 | Whether the percentage applies to customer revenue or the referred affiliate's commission, plus duration and qualifying rules, remains Unknown. No downstream earnings calculation is justified. |
The sub-affiliate offer stays outside our documented tier-two collection until its calculation base is established. Registering yourself as a sub-affiliate is prohibited and can cause termination and withheld commissions. A manager-issued 10% self-purchase discount is a separate customer benefit, not an affiliate commission.4
A 60-day window does not guarantee credit
The terms use first cookie wins, not last click. They also say an earlier direct visit assigns the marketplace's own cookie: a later purchase through an affiliate link may then receive no affiliate credit. TemplateMonster and MonsterONE share cookies under these terms. Device, consent, code and recruitment-attribution details remain unconfirmed.4
Cash requires more than a tracked sale:
| Cash condition | What the official pages say | Practical limit |
|---|---|---|
| Processing clock | Terms say exclusively automatic payouts between the 20th and 30th monthly, yet retain 5-10 business days after a request. The invitation also describes requests.4,5 | Confirm the current method; do not add these clocks together or promise a bank-arrival date. Wire payments are described as monthly from May 2025. |
| Threshold and method | Terms name a $50 minimum, then say exceeds $50 for PayPal/Payoneer and exceeds $500 for wire. The invitation names WebMoney instead of Payoneer.4,5 | Exact boundary, available methods, currency and fees remain unconfirmed. |
| Verification and activity | Verified details, valid payment settings and regular traffic are required. Terms require a sale in the last year; the guide says current year.4,6 | Identity/activity checks or failure to respond can delay or block payment. Confirm which activity test applies. |
Help readers choose the item, not just a design
Hypothetical content worksheet: choose a reader's actual project before assembling a template list. This is a planning example, not an installed-product test.
| Reader situation | Evidence to collect | Useful comparison |
|---|---|---|
| Existing WordPress site | Exact theme, supported editor/plugins, prerequisites and included assets. | Keep or improve the current theme versus buying a replacement; explain migration work. |
| New HTML project | Exact item documentation, build dependencies, forms and required hosting services. | A purchased starting point versus a simple tested build; do not assume a design includes every service. |
| Five client websites | Checkout licence, project/domain count, client handover rights and support responsibilities. | Per-item commercial licensing versus a subscription, including work your team must perform. |
TemplateMonster's website-licence page describes Personal as one personal project on one domain and Commercial as up to five end products/domains, with client transfers allowed. Its Personal FAQ also mentions a primarily customized client project, leaving client-use scope unclear. Confirm the selected checkout licence. Neither licence allows redistributing source templates, and demo imagery/fonts are not a licence to reuse those parts separately.2,7
MonsterONE has different rules: one download covers one project; reuse in another requires downloading again. When the licence ends, downloaded items cannot start new projects, while already-created websites remain active. Source redistribution, SaaS and print-on-demand use are restricted; "unlimited" does not cover every use.3
Support and refunds need their own comparison. Marketplace terms describe six months of author-provided technical support unless the listing says otherwise. Support excludes installation, customization, hosting configuration, code editing and performance optimization; MonsterONE has a separate support policy.7,8
Refunds are conditional. Non-delivery and not-as-described claims have 14-day limits. Major defects involve author troubleshooting; unlisted third-party incompatibility is excluded. Store terms exclude change-of-mind or missing-skill refunds and impose a 30-day maximum request period. That cap is not a 30-day money-back guarantee; exchange or store credit may be offered, and extended support is nonrefundable.9,7,8
Confirm the account before planning revenue
- Check eligibility
Prepare your actual sites and promotion channels. Approval is required; Russian Federation/Belarus accounts are blocked, and the full country scope is unconfirmed.4
- Resolve cash and exit
Confirm thresholds, methods, activity and processing. Six-month blocking and one-year inactivity provisions overlap; violations or failed verification can forfeit unpaid commissions. Post-termination payment remains unconfirmed.4
Next step: open the official TemplateMonster affiliate invitation and compare its linked terms with the account offer before applying. No application, provider contact or owner tracking link was created for this profile.5,4
